HICEM Flex Shield - 1K is ready-mixed waterproofing mortar with excellence flexibility and good adhesion to concrete-based. It is high recommended for coating as a membrane layer to protect against water intrusion and to prevent water leakage in all dimensions of buildings, houses or residences. HICEM Flex Shield’s key attributes are that able to withstand water permeable on both sides called “Positive and Negative pressure”. Positive pressure, that is the surface directly exposed to water. Negative pressure, that is on the contrary attached to concrete basement, this side is also efficiently protect against underground water vapor beneath the floor.
HICEM Flex Shield is suitable for any damp, water exposed or even vibrating area such as bathroom, basement, roof top, swimming pool, reservoirs or factory floor connecting to the operating machine. It stands to various climatic condition, strong sunlight and UV.
HICEM Flex Shield is ready to use only by mixing with water without any additional materials.
Surface preparation
1.Surface should be clean without dust, grease, or any residue form of chemical construction additives.
2.Fracture or crack surface, depth more than 10 mm., has to be repaired before coating. It is recommended to use HICEM Latex Adhesive Ready-Mixed Mortar or HICEM Waterproof. Leave at least 7 days.
3.Surfaces should have normal absorption, not too dry or juicy. Dry and high temperature should be heat lower by sprinkle with water to ensure the best performance.
4.Open space should be shading for good workability and to avoid rain or strong sunlight during setting time.
Mixing direction
1.Use brush, roller or trowel that suitable for project site.
2.Start coating the first layer of HICEM Flex Shield all over the area at least 2-3 mm. of thickness, concentrate on cracking or water leak spot.
3.Leave it to dry and set around 3-4 hrs., depends on weather and relative humidity.
4.Start the second coat in perpendicular direction against the previous layer.
Leave it to set at least 7-10 days before using the area. During the setting period, avoid rain or water trapped.
5.The setting surface is able to decorate with tiles, paint or leave like usual mortar.
Any area that requires ward off water infiltration such as basement, bathroom, roof top, reservoir, swimming pool or walls that are exposed to water regularly.
